Thames Tideway Tunnel, London (GB)
LONDON'S SUPER SEWER
London's sewers are reaching their capacity limits: the sewers were built for two million people - now more than eight million live in the city. The "Thames Tideway Tunnel" project aims to renew the city's sewage system, which dates back to Victorian times. With a total of 25 kilometres of pipes (sewage pipelines), it is one of the largest tunnel projects in the British water industry. More exciting information about this project can be found here.
